Ok so i was reading a thread, and i relised if someone were to make a custom usb device that plugs the touch into the psp, and if you had windows 95/97 on your psp, or any normal homebrew app that could do this. Would you be able to start up the ipod?

as long as its able to send 8 bytes itll do, the psp is more than capable of this.

Yeah, but the windows 95/97 thing on the PSP takes like 10 minutes to boot. (I think)

    But it is entirely possible.

Maybe a developer could just write an app for the PSP to run the code thing to allow the iPod to boot, no OS required.

Like that badge thing from the front page of IPTF

Seems kinda overkill to use something like a PSP which is even bigger than the touch itself.

Well that would be a good idea but we would need someone from the psp scene to create a homebrew application for it? the windows would be pointless, because my psp takes about 10-15 minutes to start up windows95, pretty much pointless...

actually the beside the headphone jack is a serial port so it is easily possible... but coding for the psp is a pain

Wifi isn't even been initiated that early in the boot process. Anything that will be sent must be done through a wired connection.
