Did Apple exchange just your 3GS or everything?
Just the 3GS. It came in a special thin box that just had the iPhone in it.
Exactly. They put your old SIM in the new device.
My question is then, Is the Device you receive refurbished?
There's a small chance you'll get a refurbished device since the phone is new and not many have been returned.
There's probably a good chance that it's refurbished. That's actually a good thing though. They've rehoused it if there were any scratches, and rooted out other imperfections.
i agree with you.
The phone has been out for a month, and it's been in production longer than that. You'd be surprised how many "cycles" its been through by now. Also, Apple Retail Store keep a separate stock of replacement phones.
Hmm, the Apple genius said there all new but what do you expect him to say? He said it like hes gotten asked that a billion times so i dunno. Mine has a supposed 28 (last week) manufacturing date but i dunno. Can anyone that has a refurb for sure 100% put their serial here on the Apple website to see if it indicates its a refurb. Then we should be able to check via their website.
