    Hey guys

    searched and searched and searched the forum for an answer to this, couldn't find one, so here goes

    I use PDFviewer (awesome app, props to author

    )

    however one very important function that I need doesn't seem to be working

    ...search...

    with the app, you have the little magnifying glass; yeah that's not working for me

    I have my PDF's in /var/root/media/PDF
    I have my PDF chmod'ed to 755
    my PDF is only about 200K

    the application works fine, opens the PDF and i can move it around and such, but when i go to click the little magnifying glass to 'search' no keyboard pops up..

    any chance this is an error? or does PDFviewer not support search?

    if it doesn't any chance we can get a PDF viewer that DOES support search?

    the present PDF reader although brilliant is probably only a wrapper around the existing pdf routines in the ipod/iphone (that you can see at work when clicking on a pdf inside Safari for instance).

    If this is true, there are little chances a search function will be implemented...

    On my side I use the Search application, that you can install separately, but this one only searches in the Contacts and Calendar databases for now -so, no pdf.

    As my main search issue was with hundreds of small text files, I solved it by importing all my files into a specific Contacts group (note title -> contact name, note text -> contact comments), which Search indeed searches (a bit slowly) now.
    (a bit slowly, because there are 2000+ separate texts so as many contacts)

    I emailed to the developpers of Search, and paid the reg. fee, with no return for now (not even the serial code :-/ let's presume they are in holidays for now...)
    I suggest, still, that you mail the Search guys, insisting on pdf as the next target ;-)
