I have a linksys router and have it set up but it keeps telling me the password is incorrect and then won't let me connect. It works fine without the security on? Any ideas?

Make sure the captitalization is correct. Can you connect with a computer wirelessly?

    Re

I did check capitals and everything was exact. I just took off the security and I am connected and everything works fine. Both Linksys and Apple can't give me a clue

I did try reinstalling and even went in and changed the password to all numerals. Still did not work. My psp wifi is able to connect to the web so I think it is someting to do with the touch.

Oh... it's because that's your router password, not your wep password. it happened to me too

Please Register or Log in to view images

it took me a while but just type in your ip address inside your internet browser (Firefox or IE). Then log in with your username which is usually admin and the password you set up for the router. If there is no password just type admin in the username and press enter. Ok, now to go to the wireless tab after you logged in. Then go to wireless security. You will see Security mode, wep encryption and blahbalhb. There will be 4 keys and simply choose one key and type it in your ipod touch when it asks you for the password. Then once you log in, your linksys in your computer will say something like a new device is connected or something like that. Just pick what device it is and name it so the linksys will remember it later on so you don't need to type in the long wep key every single time you want to log in.
