    i did this:

Step 8: Install extra apps for free
    1) After iPod is updated open installer

    2) Go to Sources tab

    3) Click Edit

    4) Click Add

    5) Type this in http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plist

    6) Go to Install Tab

    7) Go to iJailBreakMobile

    8) Select iPod touch Software Upgrade

    9) Install it!!

and its installed and when i open it, it just says password:........

so what do i type in for the password?

    Same Problem faced.

i faced the same problem while doing the STEP 8 of the jailbreaking..
The programme asked me for a password ..

Eventually, i need to jailbreak to 1.1.2.
    Waste of time...

You need to SSH into the iPod after installing. Then as soon as you get SSHed in, the script that was intended to run will run, and your iPod will reboot. Afterwards, the icon for iJailbreak will be gone. Worked for me.

You are not supposed to use iJailBreak for the Jailbreaking part

You are supposed to use it for the APPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE

    Read the instructions!

Worked for me too, but just for clarification, it might be necessary to navigate to the /Applications folder, find iJailbreak.app, set the permissions to 7777...
and then right click the ijailbreak file inside the .app folder and select custom commands, then execute.

Hope that clears things up for some...?
