passcode lock

    hi i have an iphone 3g on firmware 4.0.2 and when i put passcode lock on general where it says require passcode just says inmmediatly ( shorter times are more secure) why? hel me please

    immediatley means whenever you lock it or press the lock buttion or it locks on itself that you have to have a passcode

    it's a tip...like if you would lose your iphone and you have a passcode..it will be better to have a shorter time for the phone to request the password...like immediatley after it locks and so hope you get it

    thats not im talking about i am talking about in general in passcode lock there is only an option that is inmediatly i cant put after 5 minutes;15...etc is only the option of inmediatly

    I think he is trying to say that the only option he has is for it to lock immediately. He cant change it..

    Weird! If that really is the case, try a restore? I just went to the same section and checked what you are talking about, and I had the options. The only time I didn't is when my passcode lock wasn't on. You sure your passcode is on?
