I saw that on winpwn 2.0.0.4, there's an option to change partition sizes. Could someone explain what this is all about?

it's the partition for sotring apps (annoying "low disk space" errors)

    I recommend 1000mb

If you are installing Cydia, then DO NOT TOUCH IT.

Cydia relocated the ~/Applications folder anyway.

So if you make it "1000mb", that is just making you loose 500mb or media or apps needlessly.

Absoultely correct, except there is no "~/Applications".

Symlinking is the answer to Low Disk Space issues.

No, you can always create symlinks manually.
