Recently Cydia has not been receiving new packages (also installer 4.0b). Is this because people who host their apps with ispazio and bigboss, ect. feel like jailbreak is a waste of time? Or are they going to the appstore for the factor of making money. I am just wondering why shortage of apps? Don't they realize it would be too much trouble to add stuff like winterboard to apstore? Anyway is anyone else noticing shortage of cydia/installer apps?

No, there's no shortage - but the fact of the matter is that since Firmware 2.0 came out, the majority of programmers have since moved ON to the App Store, so there's not a lot of new apps out there to have in Cydia in the first place. Besides, most of those new packages you saw were themes... and they're still showing up.

    cydia is still useful...
you use it for themes, and for like the startup apps like openssh, make it mine, bossprefs, 5icon dock, stuff like that

but yeah, nothing really new and exciting comes out for cyida..
    the last thing was pwnplayer/mewseek
