Is there a way I can make a transperancy on my own pictures to be able to make them a custom boot logo without photoshop?
Also, I am using redsn0w .3 and could I use redtool to flash the nor for the logo?

If you are using redsn0w 0.3 then you can use logome, which means no restore, you can find it in cydia. As for the photoshop part I don't know.

with logome, you don't need the transparent pixel.... it might not 'eat' every image you give it, but it will successfully make a boot logo from an image without one. The filesize limit is 100k so it's best to use simple pix, like a logo on a black background.
