At the moment, I use this PC ALL the time.

I don't turn it off when I go to college.
I don't turn it off in the night...
Basically - It's ALWAYS on. The last time I turned it off was sometime in October.

This has gotten into a habit... But... If I did this to my future MBP... will it ruin the battery life and wear it out? :\

It would ruin it probably. You better get used to full battery, then using it until it's ran out of battery, then recharge etc... Well it is £100 for the battery...

My current laptop only have ~10 mins battery life... Literally can't unplug it without it shooting down to 0%.

I reckon that's coz I've overused it like I have... Think I'm going to have to get into some sort of routine. Spose... Faster start ups and shut downs are a benefit with a mac.

What you could do is charge it before school and everything, use it during the day, and charge it at night. Only thing I really suggest is if you want a good battery to begin with, don't turn it on until you have fully charged it straight out of the box, then unplug it and use it until it is completely dead. This helps with the length of charge.

    Thanks Ryan 4, USARyan2.

True. You need to charge it at least once before fully running it. My dad always whines about that when I get new gadgets

At least once. Two or three times for me, just to be safe. Wait, I'm number 4?! I want to be Ryan 1

No problem Alex. Are your like the only one? Yes, at least go through one cycle before you use it. After that, you can pretty much just run it down till you want to charge it, or keep it plugged in all the time, but I wouldn't suggest it.
