If overclocking the CPU if the iPhone is hard, is overclocking the GPU harder? For better game performance on a 1G, gpu matters most? GPU IS GRAPHICS CARD

I'm pretty sure you would eventually melt or ignite it doing that, It has no fans to deal with the heat so you would have to constantly monitor it or barely OC it.

What would be the point in overclocking an ipod anyway?!

Well if people have 1G iPods or 2G instead or the really fast 3G, they would be able to get a slight speed/frame rate improvement. And overclocking the CPU will NOT blow up ur iPod. It's factory underclocked to 412-533 MHz on a 1/2G while capable of 667. The 3G is underclocked to 600 while capable of 833. Now GPU. the 1/2G are clocked to 70 MHz and the 3G is clocked to 250 or 300.

    Logical Fallacy.

A Boat may be able to hold 500 Tons of metal, but that doesn't mean it will float.

Just because a CPU is capable of a certain Clock rate does not mean it will be safe to use it.

To the OP: Bad Idea, Don't even try.

YEah but the 1G and 2G have the same processor, but one is clocked 121 MHz higher without any problems. That is complete proof that the 1G can go to 533 with no problems.

Well wouldn't the apps be restricted by the ipod anyway?! So you wouldn't notice a difference?!
