I have a large problem with the new Iphone and heavy duty cases. It was fine fr the 3GS and older but the new Iphone looks so good, i don't think I want to cover it up with something like an otterbox. I think that the most I'd go with is a bumper and a full body screen protector.

That's true, my friend, that's very true

My car kit's plug is too wide to even fit into the bottom of the case, so it's useless unless I take the case off.

I can't trust every person who touches my phone--not even me--to handle it mishap free. For example, a friend who borrows it to look up a sports score gets scared by a dog and throws it up in the air over the sidewalk (not too far fetched of a scenario, I assure you!

). So, while I really really do like the awesome design of the new one, I simply can't have a delicate $500 machine slipping and sliding around with me throughout the day. I know some business customers are responsible, light users, and their phones rarely see the outside of their pants pockets / offices / cars, but I'm not like that. So, another $50 Defender for me it is! All other cases just seem... inferior.
