do yall know if there gona release an otterbox case for the ipt4?
Most likely not.
Well I was thinking the other day... Otterbox cases are supposedly waterproof so it seems that it would be hard with the camera/mic to make it waterproof. I dunno I still think that they'll come out with something. We will see.
they are NOT waterproof.
otterbox has not really made a case for the iPod touch since they came out with the Defender for the 2G/3G (on their site) and that is all they have. just one case for the iPod.
i doubt they will make one for the 4G.
i do not think there is demand for it like the iPhone 4.
I saw a YouTube video of a guy putting his iPod touch with a otterbox case into a sink full of water. Let me find it.
well that guy is an idiot lol
sorry but its the truth.
when the company that makes the case says its not waterproof, its not waterproof.
im pretty sure he figured out he damaged it a couple days or so after he decided to be smart and cool and sink his ipod into water lol
and yes. its bound to have taken some sort of damage.
I have an Otterbox case and I can say they're most definitely not waterproof. They're damn near almost everything else proof though.
ya they are haha my friend's mom has an iphone 4 with an otterbox and it is beast.
it actually looks nice too.
not too bulky.
Various videos showing an array of Otterbox cases for iPhones, iPods, being put in water:
Many found that the touchscreen doesn't work underwater, but works right when you pull it out.
I can post more if you don't still believe that Otterbox cases can be waterproof.
I'm sure Otterbox isn't going to say it's waterproof, so just in case there IS damage that they wouldn't have to pay for it and deal with legal issues.
And I would NEVER put my iPod into water, but people have tested it out, and it does indeed repel water.
