highly unlikely. The firmware is 168 megs. Far from 1.42 gigs

oh yea, and I've already deleted the video downloads from it. Still have a bunch of space tooken up from "other"
I also have *******ula. And I'm thinking when I "didn't" download "walk hard" yesterday, that its still somewhere stored on my Ipot. And I'm positive I deleted it afterwards. I even emptied my trash in my mobilefinder.

I'm hiding at work in the bathroom, so I'll have to look a bit more thoroughly when I get home.

    sorry for double post.
ummm, i found out what was all that extra data was.
i used the "bosstool" to move all of my apps, app support..etc. to my actual ipod media section.
hence why it was showing up in my itunes application saying that 1.42 gigs were used up.
....and i had a bunch of invisible music files in my itunes_control folder.
i just deleted my itunes_control folder and all is well.
    thanks for the help though.
    ^_^

You may want to Hide your serial number.

Also, did you use Bosstools? That may be the reason why your Other is so big.

    You may have to restore.
