    hi to all.
i want to report something for compare my situation with the others...
i've jailbreaked my ipod touch but after one week test my battery life was extremly short (i suppose for wifi actions and ssh), so i've decided to restore the jails doing the procedure listed in this forum (hard reset with the 2 buttons pressed, then release one... etc.. etc...).
after a successfull reset, in itunes, all my music, videos, contacts, etc stuff were cancelled from my itouch, but in the "Capacity Bar" there are listed 13,4 Mb of OTHER ....
    my answer is:
is this OTHER some stuff that jailbreak action has insert in the ipod and that the restore can't remove or is normal to have 13 Mb occupied also with a clean fresh resetted itouch?!?
    has anyone verified this?
    thank ya.
    greetings

I dont know exactly, but the iPoT operating system is bound to take up some space (maybe as other?)

so perhaps that's what is showing up in iTunes

Well, it's there on a fresh out the box touch, so i'd guess it is the firmware etc. It has to take some room, 14MB isn't much is it? 3 songs at most.
