Would you guys think that buying an used iPhone 2G would be worth it for around $140-150? I've been wanting one for a while, but another reason I'd prefer 2G over the newer ones is the fact that I can buy it and just swap my SIM card and use it instantly with AT&T instead of going through the hassle of figuring out how to buy a 3G or 3GS without paying for data. Your suggestions?

Eh, I've already checked for that, but the only ones that go for that much are the ones with screen damage. I'm looking at craigslist right now and there's a seller in my city. So I'm thinking about checking it out this weekend.

No, I do not need a special plan. The phone is unlocked so all I need to do is slip in my SIM and I can use it without a data plan.. I just don't want to spend extra money on something I don't need. I'm around my house and school all the time which has WiFi. And if I must use the internet outside of my home I could easily go into Starbucks and get a cup of coffee and browse on WiFi.

I don't think so. I believe it's your general WiFi hotspot because if you bring your laptop into Starbucks you can get onto the internet as well.

Hmm, that's strange. My local Starbucks doesn't do that. It's like a normal WiFi hotspot that you can easily access.
