On the Photo albums, is there anyway to sort the pictures?
lets say they are laid out like: 1 2 3 4
    and i want to sort them: 2 3 4 1

    is that possible?

Something that needs to be included in the OS. I dont think there are any tweaks for this though

Right now, no unless you plan to jailbreak, when you do, you can edit the files so that you edit 1 to be 4.png 2 to be 1.png so you can order them.

Save them to your computer, then name them by numerical/alphabetical order how you want it, then sync in iTunes.

it just seems like a simple function that Apple decided to skip

i've already done that, i named my files starting 01, but still no difference

Id say, if you could just press and hold a photos thumbnail and move it through the menu. Why dont you email apple, maybe they will include it

Apple skips a lot of things, I am sure it will be updated within the next few years when apple decides its important.

It works fine for me, in Windows anyway.

Managing user media has never been on the iPod - it's what iTunes is for.
