I have OpenSSH on my iPod and I want to turn it off when I am not using it.

I know SBSettings can turn it off but are there any alternatives? Can I manually turn it off without installing anymore garbage?

If there isn't, does SBSettings itself cause the battery to drain faster than normal? Because SBSettings offers alot of switches and crap and IDK, it just seems that maybe itself can hog a lot of battery.

Also, using SBSettings, how exactly DO I access the SBSettings interface? I noticed (accidentally) by swiping (two/three?) fingers down while on the home screen sometimes brings up the menu but it's quite hard replicating it.

    Am I doing it wrong?
