Sorry if you guys think it doesn't deserve its own thread. Mods feel free to move it or delete it. Anyway, to fix the location services bug on wifi ipads, use terminal on your SSH client on your computer. There will be 2 commands you will have to enter.

    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.locationd.plist

    Enter that command, then enter:

    launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.locationd.plist

Read this off of http://spreadsheets.google.com/lv?key=tHnYEq4SmhIGOgbH9TVgXgA&f=true&gid=0 in the OpenSSH collumn.

    Hope that helps!

Hmmm, are you sure you did it right? What's your SSH client? Are you on a Mac or PC? Any error messages? Haha lot of questions, I know.

What ssh client(s) would you recommend? Also, why won't this work by ssh'ing in from Terminal on my Mac? (I've tried and it didn't work for me)

I used WinSCP on windows 7. It was working great yesterday, however location services don't work anymore for me. I have no idea why it would stop after a day. I just decided to get rid of SSH and download it when I need it. Not ideal, but better than no location services.

I don't get what's the problem with just using a ssh-over-cable, meaning you don't have the openssh package to be installed on your device, and then location services can work properly...

    a better open ssh fix

I tried the "load/unload" method from Terminal on iMac, with Fugu on iMac, with WinSCP on Win XP, and from Terminal on iTouch. The method only worked for me from the iTouch, and only for a day. Try this better fix courtesy the testers at the iPad Jailbreak Compatibility site (http://spreadsheets.google.com/lv?key=tHnYEq4SmhIGOgbH9TVgXgA&f=true&gid=0). Worked the first try for me.

TO FIX LOCATION SERVICES PROBLEM, in iFile go to /System/Library/LaunchDeamons/com.apple.locationd.plist and change the false under OnDemand to true.

Yeah my method only worked for a day, but your method is working right now. I'll see it for a week and update you guys.
