I'm completely new to this, and I ONLY got this ipod to boot android on it. Just to play. But I'm having alot of trouble getting the facts straight. Someone help me out. I have an Ipod touch 3g with 4.1 on it, and from what I can tell there is no way to install openiboot on it. I have it jailbroken already so whats going on with that?

You need an untethered bootrom exploit. No dev has one. Also, why did you buy an iPod touch just to put Android on it? Especially without doing research first?

    Yeah... Lol

Anyways so this limerain jailbreak doesn't get me any closer to getting android on it? I just REALLY enjoy android. I have it on my computer as a VM to play with and I have a rooted droid and rooted Droid X.

yes but that doesnt mean it can do bootlogos or other "MAJOR" things like different OS's.

Is there REALLY no more information on this? Can someone explain why the limerain jailbreak will not make it possible to port openiboot to this device?

The problem with limera1n is that it isnt an untethered bootrom exploit. Its a combination of a tethered bootrom exploit and an untethered userland exploit. In order to do boot logos or openiboot/android, you need an untethered exploit that is 100% bootrom.
