    if im not mistaken, you need a bootrom exploit, we do not have one

    No. There is no bootrom exploit. I know this because I spent a week hunting high and low for my iTouch 3G (it has the same bootrom as 3GS)

    I think the dev-team have a bootrom exploit. I remember they wanted to release an iboot exploit but comex came out with a better one so they didn't release it. But I think since they wanted to release that one just for 3.1.3 and iPad, they had another one for 4.0/new iPhone. I really think they have a bootrom exploit for 3GS, touch 3G and iPad since they all have the same thing.

    I would've thought you would need an iboot exploit since the name is openiboot.

    Didn't the early 3Gs s have a old bootrom with the correct exploit?

    :edit: I have an early 3Gs so ask if you want to know something about my 3Gs
