openiboot ipod touch 2g

    The security obstacle has been removed...so openiboot or quickoib or any other unsigned code has a chance to run now without being tethered.

    But there are slight hardware differences between the ipt2g and earlier devices. The code for those changes would need to be incorporated into openiboot to allow it to run on the ipt2g.

    It depends on how many people help planetbeing and pH with the ipt2g-specific differences

    MuscleNerd: (I'm pH, heh). Yeah. We need help with it. It's not as simple as merge an .img3 of OpeniBoot in .img3 of iPod touch 2G. There's many changes in processor and many other things.

    We're working on it (/me, planetbeing and posixninja).

    IMO there is no point in porting this until there is a version of linux which is reasonably usable.
