Overtime the screen of my ipod has became scrached up so i decided to follow a tutorial on how to remove the glass and put a new one on. I managed to remove the front housing with the ribbon still attached but then i realised i didnt have the skill to do the rest, so i pushed the screen back on and now the button works and the top of the touch screen but not the rest of the screen. how can i fix it? how much will it cost to get fixed?

    Many thanks,

    Alex Francis

You probably detached the digitizer (touch screen) ribbon half-way, or messed it up somehow. Try following the tutorial again and make sure the connector is fully attached to the logic board.

re-attempt to secure the digitizer ribbon to the screen

    Dropping it also voids warranty.

Ouch pal, see if you can find a repair service and look for a tutorial from them, if not, send it in for repair.
