someone should port some open source first person shooters to the iphone/ipod touch, i know that cube has been submitted to the app store, but i think it would be great for more FPS to be ported

any of these would be amazing

they might be a little complex for the iphone, i dunno, someone said tremulous is only a 100mb download, so i dunno, but i would love to see more FPS in the app store

My God, Tremulous on the iPod touch with online play would be amazing. I used to be addicted to that game.

Yeah. There are a TON of controls though, so it'd be pretty tough to get it right. And also, the Mac version of Tremulous is unofficial, and is a C port by tjw, so I dunno. But maybe once developers find a way to make FPS games actually work, it'd be cool.

yeah there really needs to be an innovative yet simple way for FPS to work, i really hope to see more FPS in the future, i really feel like the app store is missing something big by not having any real FPS

Correction: 620 MHz underclocked to 412 MHz. If it can do Cube just fine, it can more than do Quake.
