The other day when I was getting some files off of my iPod with WinSCP, I opened a plist file, and WinSCP opened it in correct XML format. I tried today, and nothing, just some binary gibberish. Was this a certain plist that for some reason worked? My imagination, perhaps?

If it was my imagination (perhaps I was thinking of iFile...), is there a plugin or file you can use to open plists correctly with WinSCP?

    Thanks, Dr. Rambo

I've noticed this a while ago when I used Windows; try to copy the plist to your local directory and open with Notepad or a comparable text editor.

Will do. I have the iPodRobot plist editor, but it would be far handier to have it built in with WinSCP's editor.

EDIT: No luck with NoteTab, and it is much more liking of different kinds of files than Notepad.

iFile. You don't have to copy anything to the PC.

When it is a large plist and needs a bit of work I use pledit.exe, it works like a charm

Ok, I found an article about how to integrate pledit.exe with WinSCP, which works, but I have another question. Can I set WinSCP to use the "Open" option when I double-click a file, instead of the "Edit" option? I can do it with the right-click menu, but it would be far easier to do it with the double-click.
