maybe not with spirit, but with other more complex jailbreak programs that allow you to choose what goes in. im hoping for either pwnagetool, or redsn0w for mac. But Spirit is simple and doesnt go into options

At the moment no it is not possible for 3G Touches due to Spirit being a userland jailbreak. For that same reason we're unable to use custom boot logos if I'm correct, it's because the level of jailbreak isn't truly suited for higher level modifications, one of which being iboot.

Hmmmmmm, I'm not thinking straight enough to answer that, lol, but what I meant from my original post is that a userland untethered jailbreak is not too far from a tethered jailbreak when it comes to what is accessible. So until a higher level jailbreak is made, or released we can't do much with openiboot.

So I believe it is lower in the bootchain, but we really weren't upgraded much from tethered when spirit was released, all that has changed is us being able to reboot.

If thats the case, can you even downgrade the bootrom? Like reflashing a bios?

SpiritJB™ is a Userland Jailbreak, not a Boot ROM jailbreak, so no.

what he said, its imposible to do it with spirit.
if you are on an iphone 3g and 3.1.3 , use redsn0w and point the redsn0w to a 3.1.2 firmware while your phone is on a stock 3.1.3 it will jb the 3.1.3
