Well, I've been trying out everything, but this is the message I have been consistently getting when trying to jailbreak my MC model 3g 32gigs ipod touch using jailbreakme.com

Basically what happens is, I slide the bar to the right and it immediately displays this message. "Oops... File Received Was Invalid" I honestly don't know what's wrong

My Ipod Touch is on 4.0 atm and if it means anything whenever I go onto the jailbreakme.com site, it says "Oops...It looks like the installer crashed last time you tried to jailbreak.

It might work if you try again."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

do a hard reset and try again
if that doesnt work, back up and restore your ipod and try again

had to do those things myself.
    but dude jailbreakme.com sucks
just use sn0wbreeze for windows, if you don't have a windows PC borrow one or something. I have a Mac so I borrowed my dads but it worked on my mc 4.0 ipod touch 2g

I thought sn0wbreeze was for non mc models. Also, I want an untethered jailbreak and so I need to use jailbreakme

Just figured this one out myself.

Go to Settings-Safari- and click on Clear Cache at the bottom. This will fix your problem.

    Hi guys!
Yesterday I've received my new iphone 4 =). Today I've tried to jailbreak it using jailbreak.com, but get the same error as evilscreation "Oops... File Received Was Invalid". iphone came with 4.0, i've updated to 4.0.1 (downloaded file from apple.com), so firstly I thought that apple updated firmware on its server to fix pdf bug in 4.0.1. So I tried jailbreakme.com from my 3gs 4.0.1 wich I've jailbroke couple weeks ago.... aaaand.... the same "Oops... File Received Was Invalid". Well guys seems that is jailbreakme.com problem (I hope))).
If somebody have smth to add you are welcome =)

P.S. sorry for my english. I'm from Russia =)

Almost forgot to say that I've tried to clear cache, delete cookies and restored firmware... result = NOTHING =(

Are you using the 4.0 GM? that would stop it working
