Just this evening, I access the iTune store and received a notice that only those in the US and its territories could buy music and sync their iPods. We have another home in Mexico and I guess that means I have to wait until we return to the US and sync the iPod at a local McDonalds?

Then I went to amazon.com and received the same message. Even went to Napster: Invalid Country Code

We're sorry, Napster is not available in your country.

Does anyone know what new 'law' has been enacted to prevent a US citizen from buying music? Must have been this week.

    It is country blocking.
You have to connect to the iTunes store in the country that you are in. Goes for all countries and I do not think it is new.
I lost service to my US account in 2008,
I live in Canada , and now have to use only the Canada account.
