Go to the App Store (Either on your iPod/iPhone or Computer). Go to the Search field. Type Radio. It should look like this:

FlyCast, Last.fm, and Pandora are the best I'd say.

Yeah, and there are APPS that allow that. And the station he wants to listen to is probably under or owned by one of the people who made the Apps. Such as AOL.

there is also the issue, though,
of the format that the station is streamed in
    =/
so, it would be very unlikely for an app to exist that could
    stream ANY site
but, i'm no expert on these formats they use, so maybe
there's just one or two and it wouldn't be so bad

As long as its either MP3 or AAC, it'll stream fine. I doubt that there are stations out there that many stream unsupported formats such as Real Media.

FStream can play mp3, wmv, acc and ogg. The only missing steam format is Real Media.

You get it for free from the App Store.

But you have to insert the right URL into FStream. If you have problems with this point, just post the name of the stream you want to hear and I will take a look.

I want to stream the audio from this site

    http://www.z1035.com/index.php

can you tell me the address I would need to input into fstream, and also if fstream supports the format this site streams in.
