Okay, so I heard the iPhone is not released in Japan, yet. But the iPod Touch is. So does this mean there is a keyboard setting for Japanese characters? Or not?

Also, I do have songs in Japanese (titles and albums). Is there a Japanese language setting to even view Japanese on an iPod Touch? Thank you all for help.

Yes there's a japanese keyboard you can add from settings>general>international.
if you typed the japanese properly in your itunes you should be able to see them in your itouch.
the only gripe is that it all the songs/artists are under * after the letter Z, but they do follow 'aiueo' form, like so:
