everyone who posts a new thread asking about how to downgrade from 1.1.4 never actually gets any instructions! i just want a stable version. 1.1.1 preferably. 1.1.3 is okay tho too. so can anyone actually help?

i just got a new laptop, so i dont have my old firmware on here or anything that may help. i have to start from scratch.

download the 1.1.1 or 1.1.3 firmware from here:
    http://wiki.iphonegameover.com/Firmware_download

then put it in DFU mode
by connecting it to iTunes, then holding the home and lock buttons until it disappears in iTunes. Then releaset the lock button, but continue to hold the home button. The screen will remain off. iTunes will detect it as an iPod in recovery mode.

    Shift-restore to the 1.1.1 or 1.1.3 firmware

it wont let me sync my itouch nemore. right after i upgraded it wouldnt let me do anything more than get recognized by itunes. plus the older version jailbreaks and apps are more stable.

My guess is that if you don't even know how to downgrade you probably didn't do the 1.1.4 JB correctly. In my experience 1.1.4 has been the easiest JB and as stable as any other.

i liked the simplicity of older versions. i know it varies between ipods. i think iv gotten pretty lucky until 1.1.4. ill be downgrading to 1.1.3 cuz all of my programs worked the way they should. i have a lot of problems with SB and customize now. those were fun apps =/
looking for all these fixes are annoying, and now my installer has gone ballistic.
