Ok...what the hell are you users doing to get the RRoD? I've had mine since launch and play it almost everyday - never got the RRoD.

Anyways, try the Towel Trick, google it.

wrap it in a dry towel for half an hour then take it out and leave it for 20 mins to cool down.... then play it!!!

do some research on fixes for the RRoD first tho

    send it back to microsoft

I don't have an Xbox 360 but I heard about that towel trick think, and I heard that after that you can play if for only about 4 hours and even then more stuff can get fried. Send it back to Microsoft, assuming you have a warranty.

    Send it back to microsoft.

That's what I did about 1.5 weeks ago and my brand new xbox is only 1 city away from me. should be here tomorrow or today.

Do NOT do the towel trick!!!

If your system is not modded, send it back to Microsoft. If it is modded, do a search for the xclamp replacement. There are plenty of videos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGm_wQy2vNk
and plenty of links can be found via google.

I want to send it back to microsoft, but I don't have the reciept, plus i don't know if my warranty is still valid. I got my xbox360 maybe a bit over a year ago...

    Thanks

I don't have a 360. But my friend has 2 one of them has the red ring of death. I don't know what that means though.

Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX. They will ask for the serial # on the back and check if the xbox has been registered. If it is not, they will register it for you while you talk to them.
Microsoft carries a 3 year warranty on the 360 due to the enormous amounts of RRoD problems. Once they have your systems serial #, they will tell you when you bought the system and if it is still covered by Microsoft's warranty.
