OMG I think my sister's iPod is bricked!

    So this morning I went from theter jailbreak to untheter with my ipod and it worked great! but a few minutes ago I tried to do it with my sisters iPod and when I got to the part where I type Reboot the screen went black and ti clearly didnt reboot like mine did i'm scared I can still go on DFU mode but itunes wont give me an option to restre OMFG -- edit its my sisters ipod not mine! mine is hacked and safe but hers ... i'm having trouble making it unthetered....

    You people seem to throw the word "bricked" too loosely.

    Are you sure it was untethered. Did you try turning it off and on again after the untethered jailbrake? In any case, to restore, shift+click and search for the firmware file 2.2.1 on your desktop.

    Don't have the 2.2.1 file? Download it.

    oh wait!

    I tunes picked it up and gave me an option to restore but when I try doing the jb though cmd it tell me no ipod found.... EDIT: it found the ipod i tried againg and when got to the part to reboot it didnt what the hell!

    i swear for untethered you dnt need to attach to reboot..

    If it's untethererd theres no need to type anything in cmd. I have a feeling it's still tethered.

    Make sure it's in DFU mode by holding the sleep and home button for 10 seconds. Then release the sleep button and continue to hold the home button for about 10 seconds more.

    it says in the tutorial that i used if u get a blackscreen u have to add some file to green wutever??

    download quickfreedom and follow EXACTLY!

    again, the word "bricked" is thrown out Freely. What you need to do is...

    Get it in DFU mode
    Download Boothelper or RedTool to autoboot the ipod.
    After that to untether it use the GUI Quickfreedom get the files.
