We all know that the new iPhone 3GS has a oleophobic screen... So what are your tyhoughts? Personally I think it's awesome. I haven't had a figerprint yet, but occasional small smudges.

At first I didn't even know it had a special screen. I just thought it didn't get finger prints because it was new. I just saw one day that it was special. Its amazing. Why didn't they do this earlier?

the glass of my 3GS has not been touched with fingers since i instantly put a screen protector as soon as i opened it from the box. same with the back.

on Apple Store 3GSes, i do see some smudges and whatnot, but i don't recall seeing any fingerprints when i try them.

IMO, you dont need a screen protector. The screen is heavily scratch resistant, and a screen protector takes away the feel from the smooth glass screen.

thnx for the info that there is no need for a screen protector for the 3GS. And yes, no fingerprints on the screen. Kudos Apple.

Not true, my iPod touch 1G has scratches on the glass from coins in the pocket... so if you are paranoid about it, better safe than sorry.
