    • If you have a second generation ipod touch
(if it has volume buttons on the left side, then it is a second gen), then you currently CANNOT jailbreak it.

    • But if you have a first generation touch:
(Doesn't have any buttons on it besides the home button [bottom center], and one other button on the top left, which is used to "Lock" the touch.) You CAN Jailbreak it.

If your touch has the "Appstore" on it, then you can jailbreak it using QuickPwn. iPod Touch Fans has a good thread on jailbreaking 2.2 with Mac Here.

If you do not have the "Appstore" on it, then i reccommend jailbreaking it with ZiPhone (Even though many people do not like this method because he "Stole" someone else's software). I've never had any problems with it. Let me give you a little tip with it though: When you click "Jailbreak", click once about every second. It'll work best this way.

Any Questions: Feel free to PM me.
