    My friend just got his cousins old original droid incredible.does it support gingerbread or ice cream sandwich

    Ice Cream Sandwich isn't out yet, and I'm not sure if it'll [ officially] get it. It will for sure via custom ROM though. :D
    The Incredible 1 has an OTA gingerbread update also, or custom ROMs if you'd prefer.

    Well when we go to software update it's on honeycomb and it's
    Says its up to date btw I'm new to android

    Honeycomb isn't available for non-tablet devices... What version does it say in numbers? [ 2.2, 2.3, or whatever]

    Oh, then there should be an update available. If I'm mistaken and GB is only for the Incredible 2, you could root it via unrEVOked 3.2, and install a custom ROM from there.
