OktoPrep removes media_sym

    OktoPrep removes media_sym folder and replaces it with root.zip. Install OktoPrep at your own risk!

    You don't need Media_Sym. I got rid of that a LONG time ago myself.

    Then how are you supposed to add the iPhone apps then?

    Media_Sym is just a shortcut... its not an actual folder. to add the iPhone apps you just put em directly into the folder media_sym normally points to.

    Just put them into /Applications, the same place where ALL your applications are. Media_Sym is just a Symbolic Link, ie a shortcut. Hopefully you set it up so that your /Applications folder is a shortcut as well to /private/var/Applications

    so are you saying that we can just delete it? of course since its just a link to it it wouldnt be a space saver.... i was hoping to smush some more music into my ipod oh well

    its gonna be either /Applications or /private/var/Applications (the first / is the very root of the ipod)

    I don't have /private/var/Applications

    Press the "..." above all of the folders a couple times
