Do you have enough space for it? if so try reinstalling installer or checking if you have the bsd subsystem

    I just followed this:
    1. Press and hold the Stand-by button
    2. Before the Apple logo appears, press and hold the Home button
    3. After the Apple logo appears, release the Stand-by button.
    4. Wait up to 30 seconds.
    5. After the Connect to iTunes picture appears, you can release the home button. Your iPod is now in recovery mode.

    Install 1.1.1

Then use jailbreak, then oktoprep(you get the "ready for 1.1.2" msg), then update to 1.1.2, jailbreak again with jailbreak 1.1.2 and your ready to go!!
