I was just thinking the other day....

..remember when you could have 1.1.1 - go to jailbreakme.com in safari, push a button and have it jailbroken in just a minute or two? Then, when 1.1.2 came out, all you had to do was install a package called "oktoprep" from installer. Then you could plug it into iTunes, push the upgrade button (you know that button we are always told NOT to push) and then another few minutes you would be upgraded to the latest firmware with all your jailbroken stuff in tact.

So why isn't there an "oktoprep" for the 2.x firmwares? I'd love to upgrade my jailbroken 2.1 iPod to 2.2 - but don't want to have to re-install and re-configure everything.

Anyone else with me on this? Or does anyone know why there isn't an oktoprep for 2.x firmwares yet?

    Thanks
    -Scott

Yes, did I not just explain my experience with it from a year ago?
