okay so my ipod video got drenched in water

    and it has had no signs of turning on but i was try to open it to get parts and stuff and the apple boot logo showed up.

    and thats all. its still there, won't go away!

    how can I get it into recovery mode or fix it?

    hold menu and center
    then once it reboots
    press and hold rewind and center
    this will put it in a type of recovery mode
    but you really should let it complety dry before you atemped anthing

    How do I open it to let it dry?
    Its froze at the screen like nothing works...
    when I hold menu and center nothing works.

    get a very very fine flat end screwdriver then gently pry open the back plate from the bezel[the top part]

    can't you see that its turned on?
    its just froze.

    aculy just let the battery die that resets the error console
    fergot that works too
    trust me

    dont open it just toss it in a bowl of uncooked rice or hair-dry it for like 10 minutes (not too close to it) and leave it over night then hold the menu and center buttons for 10 seconds to reset

    yea the rice thing works i left my phone in the rain overnight and put it in a bowl of dry rice for like a day or 2 and its fine now.
