Okay, so this is like the 3rd post, but new problem:
Im trying to enter DFU mode but i cant seem to enter it, i do exactly what im told, with every second precisely timed, but it just turns back on or shuts off,

Ive tryed Uninstalling and Reinstalling itunes, rebooting, using different cords and different usb ports, used recovery mode and still nothing, i dont have another computer to try it on but just yesterday it worked fine. Im using iTunes 10, 4g itouch so its the latest firmware, whats going on? Should i exchange it (ive exchanged befor, last week to be exact for light leak) help please

Links to helpful stuff or anything at all to help is greatly appreciated :]

Why would you want to try to put your iPod into DFU mode? It's not like you can jailbreak it right now anyways unless something came out and I didn't hear about it.

What are you trying to accomplish?

We can help with with anything besides jailbreaking because there is no way to do so for the iPod touch 4.
    Not now, at least.

You can force a restore from recovery mode. And you can get into DFU mode - you're just not doing it right. If it turns back on then you've messed up the timings.

You're timing in probably a little off.
Plug it in, turn it off. Hold home and power button for like 10secs, release the power button, but keep holding the home button, and you should hear your computer make that noise when you plug something in, and your the screen of your touch should be all black.

Put your iPod into Recovery Mode and then restore.

Thats all you have to do.
