Okay, plain and simple, i've tried restoring on 3 different firmwares

    3.1.3
    iOS 4.
    iOS 4.1

On my iPod touch 2g at least 2 dozen times EACH.

The damn thing will NOT restore, and i'm really frustrated.

I've gotten error 13, error 31XX, error 3003, error 9, among other errors, and I'm out of ideas.

I've tried 3 different computers, made separate accounts, used different cords, and so many other things that apples website suggested but I cannot get my device working.

it crashed one day, and then upon resetting it a thousand times, each time saying connect to iTunes.

I do so, I click restore and I just error/bug out and it won't work.

By bug out I mean: Random green lines on my restore screen, the apple logo turning yellow in parts, as well as a multitude of other problems.

I can't afford a new device really and want to get this one working, so any and all help would be amazing.

I managed to upgrade from a jailbroken 3.1.3 to an unjailbroken iOS4 via just the iTunes update before the aforementioned crash and restore screen happened.

I've tried what I think is DFU mode. Every time I try it the screen apple logo's.

Hold Home/Sleep wake for 10 exactly, then hold home.

Most guides say it's supposed to remain black but I can't get it to, suggestions there?

Do you not recommend using a program like 1click boot and just using the shift-restore?

I personally have had bad experiences with those one click boot programs. So i would try a shift+restore first

Um, this sounds stupid...but I can't turn the device off when it's like this....when I unplug it, turn it off, and plug it in it turns on and then it doesn't turn off...wow I am a noob.

Now when I go to DFU mode and restore all I get is iTunes error 9.
