i think this is the right section...

anyway, so lately everytime i restarted my ipod i have to restart it a couple more times because i get the problem where the touch screen is rendered useless, and when put into sleep mode there is a dimmer version of the current page on there...

    BUT NOW

i have restarted literally 100 times, and i still get the same problem...does anyone know a fix?

    thanks in advance

maybe restore it? and re jailbreak...I've heard this problem, but for caterpillar users...I don't know if you have it..and I don't know of any other fix.

sometimes I have to double tap on the dock apps. If you restore it and this problem persists, fresh restore it, take it to apple, tell them the problem, and u might get a new one

why would those apps affect anything? and is there any way that i could fix this without restoring or uninstalling the apps?

Try restarting in a force shutdown. Press and hold the home and sleep button down until the screen shuts off. Then turn your ipod on from there. This works for me when i have that problem

that happened to me last night. I finally dicided to restore and I put in recovery mode. But it wouldent restore so I kicked it out of restore mode with iliberty. Then I put in dfu mode and it still wouldent restore. So then I freaked out and rebooted it and it somehow kicked it out of dfu mode and now its fine! And I didint loose any settings!
