Sorry for the title but I have looked through the forums and even asked a few questions but can someone help me please?
    I have a 1st g ipod touch 8gb.
I have successfully jailbreak'ed it on several occasions.
I have currently restored back to 1.1.5 and left it stock.
    I have obtained a version of iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw
Iwant to bring it to 2.0 firmware is this what I need?
I tried to use winpwn 2.0.0.4 and it said the file was unknown.

Try jailbreaking 2.2, it's much better, and has more features.

Why not just update to 2.2 and use quickpwn?

Yes 2.0 is real buggy and real laggy. Get 2.2.

And you have to restore to the firmware you want to jailbreak. The jailbreak WILL NOT update the firmware it ONLY jailbreaks it.

We do, the OP has a problem loading the file into winpwn...

But if the OP wants to update to 2.0, they may as well update to 2.2 and use quickpwn, then winpwn isn't involved.

Well the first step is to upgrade to 2.2 normally using iTunes.

Depending on your operating system you need to get the right quickpwn version from this page (look at the bottom of the page)

    http://blog.iphone-dev.org/page/2

And then use that to jailbreak your ipod
