I have an ipod Touch that I bought 2nd hand (1st gen I believe). There are some movies/songs I want to keep on it and others I don't - but when I try to SYNC up, it says it is going to erase all of my previous files to put on my new ones from my own personal library. How can I append the ipod or better yet, TAKE OFF the old songs/movies, store them on my hard drive, and resync the entire system with what I want to put on it?

    Thanks

You can use DiskAid (Mac or PC). However, if the media that you want to copy is DRM-protected, you are out of luck.

you probably need 3rd party software in order to take off songs and movies i believe (check if you can manually take off the content through itunes)
then resync with the old content added to your current library

I did not see any way to manually take it off itunes, but then again, I am new to this so it could be there but I don't see it...

But according to the MacWorld 2009 video, it's going to be DRM-Free soon
