My iPod touch! I dropped it in the sink while I was washing the dishs. The screen went insane. Panicked washed off in sink. Made worst. Dried of is much as I could. Turned on and screen is white. Ileave it for a while and miraculously it changes. I see the black boot screen with the apple logo. I am shocked. The pressure builds up. Oh crap what happens if it doesn't work. OMG. Well here is the spects and btw this a true story is happening now.And guess what my ipod is a 2g 32g $400 custom built for my birthday with my name ingraved! Right when the f****** 2g jailbrake comes out! That's just mean.

I'll update dailey plz respond and have any tips on how to fix the problem. (Yes I know I am letting it dry out)

Try putting it in a bag of rice to absorb moisture, a few have reported success.

I understand that you are panicky, and trying to figure this out, but please try to type better next time.

And why would you have your iPod next to you while you are doing dishes? O_O Try blowdrying it and wrapping it in a towel.

    1. DO NOT TURN IT ON. You'll most likely kill your battery.
    2. Put it in rice, let it sit for 24 hours or so.
    3. Plug it back in, hope that it works.

Although you already tried to turn it on, it may be too late.

Edit: hah, I'm a bit slow.

Or silica gel. The clear little beads you find in seaweed or other various foods works well too.

Put it in a bowl full of dried rice and it may work, otherwise, superglue something to the volume buttons on the side and try and rip it off and say it was a hardware fault.

That may not work, the water sensor inside the iPod may have changed color.

Also, at least yours is turning on. My 1g went through the washer, and never showed any signs of life. Plugging it in, trying to turn it on, so I opened it up, everything was covered with corrosion.

At least I'm glad to have a 2g.
