OK, so basically, I was updating an app (NetNewsWire) and while it was updating, my mom told me to turn off my ipod, so I was like, hey, it'll just continue updating while in stand-by.

And it turned off fine. But then when I got my iPod Touch out and tried to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on, but it was hot as heck.

A few minutes later, after being in my pocket, it was on the home screen, except frozen, and the screen looked weird. It sort of looks grayish and there are some white spots on the dock (e.g. bottom, gray part of the screen) It won't sync with iTunes. It won't turn off.

What the heck should I do?

    I'm f-ing scared!

PS. It's been 30 minutes, and it's still burning up.

I told you, I can't sync up. iTunes doesn't recognize it.

The term bricked gets thrown about a little too much. Have you tried putting it in DFU mode?

I know, it really sucks. I wonder if I could get them to replace it free?

    1. Hold Sleep Button and turn off device
    2. Wait 5 seconds
    3. Hold Sleep + Home Button For 10 seconds
    4. Let go of sleep button but keep pressing the home button for 10 seconds
    5. itunes will open and say "your ipod is in recovery mode and you need to restore"
