ok it worked also for me.
just be patient some steps are really long and I also got some error message saying that some folder could not be found but the ipod reboot after some time and I am on 1.1.3 with installer.

but no extra app. I stilll have all my music and videos.
I will sync with itune and reinstall my app and see if I have the password problem wit mail app like in nate true's method.

edit: ok mail works fine and code lock also seems to work

    Works for me I think

It seems to work for me although OpenSSH doesn't show up on the mainscreen. Even after installing through Installer, no luck. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Movies and music are intact. Getting the update from iPodtouchmaster's repo WORKS. Unlocks mail (no need for mail fix as far as I can tell) and Google maps no longer crashes for me. Weather works, as does stocks and notes. Lyrics work too! Thanks dev team and ipodtouchmaster!

for what its worth...i finally got it to work...got stuck at the MediaCache thing...eventually lost connection, got the apple....force rebooted, and it came up, now one thing that interests me is that when i try to update to installer 3.0b10, i get a "main script execution failed!". Also, there is no OpenSSH in installer (under install or uninstall) but yet i can ssh into my ipod using the pw alpine (even though my pass WAS different before doing this). When i went into the applications folder in root, it showed ALL of the new apps...but they dont show on the springboard.....any ideas?

OH and BTW: i didnt install any of the repos for the iphone apps...they were already there after a fresh JB from 1.1.1-1.1.2-1.1.3

i didn't install openSSH yet but I can still SHH in my ipod after JB.
would like to turn it off though

I upgraded but anytime I use Installer I get the "main script execution failed!" error.

I don't know what happened but while I was running installer to poke around, it froze so I turned it off. Now my Touch only boots in Recovery mode, blah.

    Code:
    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Copy this entire distribution to / on your iPhone/iTouch
So you will have /update-prebinding-path.txt and so on

       # scp -r ./* root@iphone:/

    2. Run the install.sh script:

       # sh install.sh
i actually had to do # sh /install.sh

    that pissed me off. heh

    my download is going 525kbps
