So about 3 weeks ago I finally jailbroke my iPod 2g. I really like, it but noticed EVERYTHING was a lot slower. I force-reset and reset my iPod at least once a day so no memory gets full... BUT my safari crashes a lot, my games lag or crash a lot, and all these other slow performance issues have come up. My iPod before was smooth as a babys butt but now its as rough an old mans ass.....LOL No But anyways has anyone experienced slowing in their ipods?

My 1g's still like that. I haven't had any problems with my 2g as of yet, but my 1g was smooth at the beginning, too. It's insane. I kinda figured a difference in hardware.

Check to make sure that you don't have too many background applications running.

my theme for winterboard was Vista Perfection which ran a clock, photo, calender, and weather app 24/7. Maybe thats why? Besides that everything should have always cleared up cus i hard-reset it everyday

Thats probably the reason. Right now, I have the default theme, but I have about 3 tracking apps always on, and I sometimes have to hard-close programs.

Go to the AppStore and get FreeMemory (if you have 99 cents)

The widgets eat up a lot of memory (WebKit is a memory hog, unfortunately).
Also, I don't understand why you would want to make your Apple device look like Vista, but that's just me..

lol, I decided I was going to restore my iPod. to be honest I dont think jailbreaking is worth it as much, especially since bluetooth isnt out. Also themes just slow my iPod down.
