Although Nubilous’ mission is not to out-feature the stock Weather app, it, instead, plans to destroy it with a simplistic, minimalistic design that is sure to please. Although it succeeds in upping Apple with an even more simplistic, even more user-friendly UI, its price tag can weigh against it. Features OK, this is really where Nubilous is crippled. It offers most of the features the stock iOS weather app has, but at the same time, it doesn’t out-feature it in anyway. When you first start up the app, it will ensure you aren’t on Venus or Mars by searching the Milky Way for your location. If you aren’t on another planet (or moon), it will then tell you where you are and get you your weather you wish to have. Just as the app starts, it will begin to intelligently search the entire Milky Way for your location. The features, as I stated, aren’t bountiful, it does tell you how the weather is at the time you are using the app. However, it fails to give vital information. It will tell you rain or shine, thundering or clear, it’ll even give you a number to represents the temperature. It won’t, however, give you wind gusts, visibility, etc. For bare-bones weather, this app will suffice. It’s simplistic, and un-cluttered. It isn’t feature prone though. Outside the current weather conditions, it will also give users a six day outlook as well as an overview of how each day will look if you tap on a given day. No hourly forecast is given though, so if you’re planning your day on the hour, this may not be for you. You can take a look the overview of the day by tapping on a day. Features: ★★★★ Graphics Design would be a much better term for this category as that is essentially what this app is all about. The graphics in the app is an artwork within itself. It’s simplistic, and a tribute to what graphic design is all about. A single orb on the top of the screen tells you the current weather while underneath, the location and temperature lay. The carbon-fiber background is detailed, but fades into the background, where it should belong. The simplistic, two tone images quickly depict the weather, but like the background, will wash away so you can view the entire screen as a whole. The entire theme behind the app is simplistic and just fades away beautifully. The whole app works on swipes and taps. There will be no pesky buttons around to intervene with your use of the app. The selection of gesture based controls fits the entire theme behind the app allowing you to focus on what you need most in the most simplistic, unobtrusive way possible. Animations are smooth from the touch to the swipe, and show off really where all the work in the app was placed. Smooth-as-silk animations are evident in this app. Graphics: ★★★★★ Reuse This is where you run into a cross-road. If you’re looking for the end-all of weather apps that will tell you if a piece of hail will slash your eye out, this isn’t the app for you. If you’re looking for a new interface to build upon what the stock app has already done, this will suite you best. I definitely do see good reuse value in this app simply because of how aesthetically pleasing it is over the stock app. I can see why people would stick to the stock tough as this app doesn’t outnumber the stock; it doesn’t get outdone either though. Overall, this app does have great reuse for some, but may not work for some. Reuse: ★★★★½ Value Two dollars is what you pay for an app like this. Is it worth it? Well, it depends. I’m sure you can find someone who can theme the stock app to reproduce this app. If you’re not up to it, you really just pay for a design. The rest of the apps offerings are already in the stock app. I’d rather the developer drop the price by a buck to be worth its price, but at 2 dollars, I do feel that it may be slightly overpriced for just a new design. Adding in features may also help. Value: ★★★★ Final Thoughts Such beauty couldn’t have been better instilled in any app. Although it’s not feature-blown, it can’t tell you if in 20 minutes you’ll end up in the center of a tornado, but rather, it shows off what interface is. Simplistic, similar in the ways Clear does it. This app is really more of an artistic work; it’s stunning and soft on the eyes and gives you the weather. Overall Score† All prices are in US currency. I snatched this while it was free. The interface is just beautiful. However, I've stopped using it because I'm pretty sure it doesn't give you the current weather. That temperature at the top is just one of the four (morning, afternoon, etc.) forecasted temperatures. Please correct me if I am wrong about that. Also, there is no real reason to use a weather app like Nubilous and stock since you can just view it in Notification Center.

Yeah, I used to use it all the time and was even going to write a review for it on another site until mitchell209 on Twitter told me that. I think it is true because I don't see it change at all until it hits the next "part of the day" so to speak.
Just take a look at the "current" weather in Nubilous every hour. If it is consistent and the stock weather app isn't, then he is right. It's really a must-have feature in any weather app – especially if you are going to charge two bucks for it. It really is a bummer though since the interface is just gorgeous.
